A small business center offers computers, printing, and scanning, plus Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is free. There are three meeting and event rooms, the largest of which can host over 350 guests, with audiovisual equipment and catering available through the hotel. The hotel also has a small, 24-hour gym with a weight-lifting machine, a few free weights, and some cardio equipment (two treadmills, an elliptical, and a stationary bike). Some outdoor seating is available, and room service is offered into the evening. The menu is seasonal and focuses on local ingredients and breakfast is made-to-order, though not included in the room rate. There's a nice lobby bar and restaurant, with the restaurant open into the evening and the bar opened until late. Indigo Atlanta has amenities geared to add convenience for busy travelers. The Midtown location attracts a range of travelers, which include parents of Georgia Tech students, business guests, and theater-goers alike. White paneled walls and chandelier lights lend a fashionable vibe, while open doorways lead to the lobby bar and restaurant on the left and a supplemental lounge on the right, where blackboard-style wall accents announce popular shows from the theater in trendy chalk writing. Giant arched entryways open up to a spacious lobby where a snaking gray couch and clusters of modern upholstered furniture give guests a chance to relax. The vibe is modern, theatrical, and hyperlocal, with lots of nods to the historic Fox Theatre across the street. In 2004, the property was converted to the first hotel under the Indigo name, undergoing extensive renovations as late as 2017. This property could definately be used as a training site for IHG for how to give the guest a memorable experience. The Hotel Indigo Atlanta is situated in an historic 12-story brick high-rise that dates back to 1923, when it was used mainly as off-campus housing for the men attending Georgia Tech. Others whose names I did not get (sorry guys and gals) from the breakfast staff to the housekeepers to security all greeted me with a good (enter time of day) and a smile. Experiences were as consistent as previous encounters. Met DELANO for the first time and VISHEL for the 2nd time. Sometimes on audit you get someone just waiting for 7am and the morning crew to come in. Woke up first night early and had a great conversation with JOHN the night auditor. Went out to sightsee and both Thomas and Cheri greeted me and helped me get my directional bearings (Being acknowledged every time they saw me made me feel great). Had an issue with my first room (heater noisy) and Thomas without hesitation moved me to the top floor for the hotel (higher floors still office space). He has an infectious personality that is perfect for reception. When I got to the hotel I was greeted by the valets and checked in by THOMAS. If you are looking for perfection STAY HERE! Even before I physically checked in I called the hotel when my plane landed and spoke with CHERI on the phone and she was very pleasant and said that I could check in early. Close to Centennial park for walking/running or events. All in all, great stay and would stay again if coming to downtown Atlanta. Would be great if there was also soap and such in the shower as well. One bar of hand soap was provided at the beginning of stay in the soap dish by the lavatory. This hotel has showers only and there is no bulk product (soap/shampoo) inside the shower. A makeup mirror would be a great addition to these upgraded, contemporary rooms. The gym was full when I worked out so more options were needed. They have one chunky mat that is super short so only one person can stretch at a time ( a short person:)). Also, they need some yoga mats or other mats for stretching. Gym needs a couple of things- a spin bike- many IHG members have Pelotons and other bikes at other hotels and this gym needs one. There are some good options with a bit of a walk which is totally fine. Healthy food options not ideal around hotel if you want something low key and not a full hotel or restaurant meal. Toilet paper holder broken. This didn't bother me at all- but just needs some attention. Needs some TLC: soap dish coming off wall in shower. Cons: Beds need to be flipped- too soft and you roll into a hole where people have slept over time. Well accommodated gym- great weights, etc. TV great- movie channels which most hotels don’t have anymore. I enjoyed retreating to a quieter space at night. Close to some conference locations but quieter than staying at conference hotel. Pros: Staff super nice! When I checked in I asked for a quiet room away from the elevator and I got it! Super quiet corner room! Really- super nice and accommodating staff at front desk.
